Karate Federation of Balkan had organized a Seminar for referees and coaches on 28th and 29th of August 2016 in Belgrade while the practical part was held in Sports Hall – “Ranko Žeravica”. The seminar was attended by coaches and referees from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey and Serbia.
The seminar was well attended and the following topics were covered: (1) Srećko Jovanović from Serbia “The Role of Perceptual Abilities and Technical and Tactical Preparation of Karatekas”, (2) Deniz Pekyilmaz from Turkey “Preparation Programme for Championships”, (3) Matjaž Končina from Slovenia “Testing in Karate – Costume Designed Testing Protocol”, (4) Strahinja Tepavčević from Serbia “Construction and Improvement of Karate Techniques Using Devices and Equipment”; (5) Primož Debenak from Slovenia “Video Review and Karate Sport”and Milan Kovačević from Serbia “Tactics of Sport Karate Match in Relation to Referees.”

21st Balkan Championships for children, which was held on 27th, 28th and 29th of May 2016 in Belgrade, Serbia, brought together over 828 participants from 10 countries.
In the overall standings the most successful was the representation of Turkey who won twenty gold, eleven silver and seventeen bronze medals. Second place went to the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won seven gold, eight silver and twenty one bronze medals. Third place went to the team of Serbia with six gold, six silver and fifteen bronze medals.
21st Balkan Championships for Children will be held on 27/29 May 2016 in Belgrade, Serbia.

18th Balkan Seniors Championships which was held on 27th and 28th of February 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey brought together over 260 participants from 11 countries.
The major significance of Karate Federation of Balkan and the competition organized by KFB is evidenced by the fact that the Balkan Seniors Championships was attended by WKF President Mr. Antonio Espinós.
In the overall standings the most successful was the representation of Turkey who won five gold, four silver and seven bronze medals. Second place went to the team of Serbia won three gold, five silver and six bronze medals. Third place went to the team of FYR Macedonia with three gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
18th Balkan Senior Karate Championship will be held on 27/28 February 2016 in Instanbul, Turkey.
On that occasion, Esat Delihasan, President of Karate Federation of Balkan said:
Karate Federation of Balkan is actively working towards the endorsement of the philosophy and spirit of Karate, promotes and develops Karate as an elite sport, as well as a mass sport for everyone. The Balkan Karate Championship in Istanbul is more than just a competition, it is a place where friendship, respect and tolerance meet.
Our performance will be indicative of the level of Karate in the Balkans, which will bring serious weight on the Karate Federation of Balkan.
The Karate sport is a challenge to the human spirit, the will and strength of the human body, daring and respect towards the opponent and a century old wisdom from the path.
Karate speaks all languages and connects all people and generations, regardless of race, sex and religion.
