BALKAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR KADETS, JUNIORS AND U21

25th Balkan Championships for cadets, juniors and U21 was held from November 07 to 09, 2025 in Rijeka, Croatia, where over a one thousand and two hundred competitors from 13 nacional federations took part. In compliance with all WKF rules and norms, the competition took place on 8 tatami mats.

In terms of success, Bosnia and Herzegovina was first with 11 gold medals, 8 silver and 14 bronze, second was Turkiye with 11 gold medals, 6 silver and 11 bronze and in third place was Serbia with 7 gold medals, 4 silver and 14 bronze.

BALKAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR CHILDREN 2025

29th Balkan Karate Championships for Children was held from May 30th to June 1st, 2025 in Bar, Montenegro, gathered about 1900 competitors.

In terms of success,  Montenegro was first with 15 gold medals, 8 silver and 18 bronze, second was Turkiye  with 14 gold medals, 11 silver and 30 bronze, and in third place was  Serbia with 8 gold medals, 7 silver and 16 bronze.

ELECTION RESULTS AT THE EKF CONGRESS

At the Congress of the European Karate Federation (EKF), which was held on May 6, 2025 in Yerevan, Armenia, the President of the Karate Federation of Balkan Mr. Davor Cipek was re-elected to the post of EKF General Secretary and the General Secretary of the KFB Mr. Slavoljub Piper was re-elected to the EC EKF and that the President of the Turkish Karate Federation Mr. Ercument Tasdemir was elected as a new member of the EC EKF, so that the three of them will represent the interests of the Karate Federation of Balkan in the EKF.

 

BALKAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR SENIORS AND VETERANS

The 27th Balkan Championships for seniors and 8th Balkan Championships for veterans was held from February 28 to March 02, 2025 in Budva, Montenegro, in which more then three hundred competitors of national federations from 12 countries took part. In compliance with all WKF rules and norms, the competition took place on 3 tatami mats.

By success in the senior competition Montenegro was first with 6 gold medals, 4 silver and 3 bronze, second was Croatia with 4 gold medals, 3 silver and 3 bronze, and in third place was Serbia with 2 gold medals, 4 silver and 8 bronze.

By success in the veteran competition Turkiye was first with 8 gold medals, 2 silver and 8 bronze, second was Serbia with 4 gold medals, 7 silver and 6 bronze, and in third place was Greece with 2 gold medals.
