The 28th Balkan Championships for seniors and 9th Balkan Championships for veterans was held from February 27 to March 01, 2026 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which more then three hundred competitors of national federations from 11 countries took part. In compliance with all WKF rules and norms, the competition took place on 4 tatami mats.
By success in the senior competition Croatia was first with 4 gold medals, 5 silver and 2 bronze, second was Turkiye with 4 gold medals, 3 silver and 8 bronze, and in third place was Montenegro with 3 gold medals, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
By success in the veteran competition Turkiye was first with 8 gold medals, 6 silver and 1 bronze, second was Serbia with 5 gold medals, 3 silver and 6 bronze, and in third place was Bosnia and Herzegovina with 3 gold medals, 2 silver and 4 bronze.
