By signing a historic agreement with the leader of world and European karate, Serbia becomes the global center of school karate.
Belgrade once again showed that it is the epicenter of major sporting events and the place where key decisions for the future of international sports are made. In the capital of Serbia, significant protocols on cooperation between the leading organizations of school sports and the top of the world and European karate were signed, which opened the way to the organization of large international school karate competitions.
The agreement was signed by the representatives of the International Federation of School Sports (ISF) and the European Federation of School Sports (ESSF) with the first man of the world and European karate organization, Mr. Antonio Espinosa (WKF – World Karate Federation / EKF – European Karate Federation).
The signing of these protocols opens a completely new page in the development of school sports – it is planned to organize world and European school championships in karate, in which young athletes from all over the planet will participate.
The organization led by Mr. Antonio Espinoz is recognized by the largest international sports institutions and gathers karate players from almost all countries of the world, which gives this agreement special importance for the development of sports among young people.
The ceremony was opened by ISF event director Mr. Uroš Savić, while a special guest was the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Zoran Gajić.
Minister Gajić emphasized that Belgrade once again proved that it is an important point of world sports.
“Serbia is recognized as a country of top organizers and exceptional hosts. It is a great honor that such decisions are made in Belgrade that connect young athletes from all over the world. This is also an introduction to the opening of the Chamber of Commerce of the World and European School Federation in Belgrade” – said Minister Gajić.
It was especially emphasized that the strong support of the President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vučić for the development of sports enables Serbia to host major international events, which is why athletes from all over the world feel welcome in our country and have excellent conditions for competition.
This agreement is another proof that Serbia is becoming one of the key centers of international school sports, and Belgrade is a place where new bridges of cooperation are being created and the future of world sports is being written.
